BIOGRAPHY

My name is (Anne) Lynne Negus.  I have been teaching full-time at Fullerton College since 1988, mainly World History 112, World History 113, and Ancient Egypt 154.  Previously, I taught adjunct classes in Egyptology at UCLA and adjunct classes in History and Anthropology at several community colleges.

Here at Fullerton College, my first priority is to help you reach your goals, academically and otherwise.  My background will enable me to guide you to high academic standards.  My special field of interest is Ancient Near Eastern Civilizations.  I have a BA, MA, and PhD from UCLA in the Ancient Near Eastern Cultures and Languages and another BA and MA from UCB in Modern European History. Additional coursework and certificates are from Carnegie Mellon University, London School of Economics, University of Munich, the Sorbonne/University of Paris, University of Maryland, Stanford, UCR, and Columbia University.

Check out our opportunities in Independent Study, tutoring, teaching and research assistantships, the Honors Program, and Semester Abroad.  I am happy to assist you with career mentoring and letters of recommendation.

Beyond success in college, I urge you to be citizens of the world, familiar and comfortable in diverse cultures and environments.  Many of you share my enthusiasm for travel.  I encourage you to go for adventure and fun in both your studies and your exploration of our magnificent world!
