At KPBS TV studios at San Diego State University in 1987 after a nationwide call-in show on the Future in Space with Astronaut Wally Schirra, Capt. USN, Ret. (back row, 3rd from right; to Bruce's left); Wally was one of the original 7 astronauts, and the only astronaut to be a mission commander in all three space programs: Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo. To Bruce's right is Al Lovelace who was General Manager of General Dynamics, Space Systems Division in San Diego; he had previously served as Deputy Administrator of NASA.
