Welcome to the home page of

Dana Clahane

I am on a Sabbatical Leave for 2012-13.  Currently I have a volunteer appointment as Visiting Professor at CSUF, which I spent the majority of my time at in Fall 2012.  In Winter and Spring 2013, I have served as a teaching Visiting Professor at UCI.  I have remained a co-organizer of the FC Math Colloquium and am mentoring some FC research students (as well as students from other schools) on a limited basis this year.  I am the organizer of this summer’s Pacific Summer Unsolved Mathematics Seminar (PSUMS), which provides opportunities for community college/lower division university students (and former such students) to become involved in making new scientific discoveries related to mathematics and its applications.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in these events.  Students can earn 2 units of CSU/UC Transferable credit (pending approval) for taking Math 295 Math Seminar, Math 290 Pure Math Seminar, Math 290H Honors Pure Math Seminar, or Math 291 Applied Math Seminar, or Math 291H Honors Applied Math Seminar, in which we examine several open problems in math and its applications.
