About Me

This is my first year teaching here at Fullerton College. I received BA's in English and Linguistics from UC Berkeley in 2003, and received an MA in Linguistics from UCSD in 2005. In my spare time, I write, read, and study language(s) (i.e., language the abstract entity, and individual languages I'm fond of, such as ASL, Arabic, Turkish, and Middle Egyptian). I love to discuss literature (19th century Russian literature being a favorite of mine), writing projects, and language, though I also have a penchant for sports (one of my primary non-academic interests). And music (lots of it).
