Hi. I am Gary Graves, a tenured, full-time Business Management professor at Fullerton College. Most often I teach Entreprenurial Mindset (BUS191), Principle of E-Business (BUS170), Small Business Management (BUS180), Principles of Advertising (MKT103) and Small Business Promotions (MKT201) and others.
I am also the CEO for Graves Communications, LLC. Today, I typically work with start-ups and non-profit organizatsions. Originally started in 1999, I have worked with small businesses, credit unions, financial service companies, political candidates and non-profit organizations to enhance their brand image, market products and services, enhance website and email services and ultimately meet their goals. My promise to clients is always “Discover Your Distinction” using unique branding and idea development techniques to execute.
I have a Masters of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on marketing and technology management. My expertise is in integrating proven marketing techniques with current technologies, such as email marketing and total personalized direct mail.
I consider myself a serial entrepreneur, starting several small businesses such as GravesPrinting.com, a local online print shop, Cycle Animals, a small online shop for cycling, and Graves Gallery, a small glass blowing and mosaic artistry. My artistic side is fueled through painting and being a glass artist. I understand the struggle to become a successful artist and I like to help local and emerging artists overcome obstacles in merchandising and selling their art.
I believe in actively contributing and giving back to the community to be successful.
I live in Fullerton and I have been very active in the Fullerton Community previously serving on the board of directors of the Fullerton Museum Center, the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce, La Habra Board of Director, Crittenton Services of Orange County and the California Public Arts Alliance. I helped to found the Fullerton Art Walk, held every first Friday in downtown Fullerton. My last involvement was being the Chairman of the Fullerton Economic Development Commission.
In June 2019, I will complete my 9th year participating in the Aids Lifecycle. A 545-mile journey on a bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The charity ride benefits Aids Organizations and provides prevention education and services to those afflicted with Aids/HIV. (see more at www.545miles.com.)
