ACT's English as a Second Language (ESL) is a comprehensize computerized-adaptive testing system that helps place postsecondary students into appropriate ESL courses and maximizes their chances for success.

The ESL Placement Test has two tests--- Grammer/Usage and Reading - that can be used separately or in combination.

Our proficiency descriptors clearly define each student's skill level and capabilities. As a result, students can be accurately placed in courses that are right for them.
