Course Description: Three hours of lecture, three hours of problem solving
and pre/post lab, 3 hours of laboratory experiments per week. Lecture includes
the following topics: kinetics, equilibrium, acid-base theory, acid-base applications,
thermodynamics, electrochemistry, transition metals, and coordination compound
chemistry.
Laboratory work supports but does not necessarily coincide with lecture
topics of 111B. 

Prerequisite: Completion of CHEM 111A General Chemistry or equivalent with a grade of C
or better. Safe laboratory practies require the ability to follow oral and written instruction
and familiarity with some laboratory techniques.  Any questions regarding this, please
contact me and we can discuss your preparation for this course.
