Perry Jacobson, Jr. Sociology Scholarship Award Fullerton College Division of Social Sciences The Perry Jacobson, Jr. Scholarship Award is in honor of esteemed sociology professor Dr. Perry Jacobson, who has inspired countless students in his exceptional teaching career at California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Jacobson’s devotion to students has resulted in many choosing sociology as an educational and career path. To continue Dr. Jacobson’s work encouraging students to become sociologists, a scholarship award has been created at Fullerton College. This yearly scholarship is awarded to a student who is a declared sociology major at Fullerton College and has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The scholarship recipient is selected by Kelly Nelson-Wright, a former student of Dr. Jacobson and sociology faculty member at Fullerton College.
