MATH 151 During the COVID-19 Campus Closure

The following emails were sent after campus closed on 3/12. I used the email addresses I have on file and blind copied everyone in the class. If you did not receive this, check your junk mail filter as blind copied emails will sometimes be marked as SPAM. If you still can't find it, please email me to confirm I have your correct email address.

MATH 151 Students,

I’m still working on moving our class online. Sometime later today I will publish our class Canvas page. On that page you will be able to attend class remotely at our regular scheduled time, using Zoom via your computer or phone. Our first online class session will take place on Thursday, March 19 at 11:45 AM. I will send a link when I have it set up.

Homework from sections 3.5, 3.6, and 3.9 will be due on Thursday. You will scan or take a photo of your work and email it to me. I will answer questions from 3.9 during the online session.

Please continue to check your email for more updates.

Good Morning MATH 151 Students,

As you know, the campus is now closed and classes have been canceled today and tomorrow (March 16th and 17th). On Thursday, we will transition to online instruction. Although I will do everything in my power to make your learning experience comparable to in-person instruction, there will be an adjustment period. I am currently working on a plan and exploring options for how the class will be conducted.

I will email you again sometime before Thursday with an update. Obviously, with Tuesday’s lecture being canceled, the calendar will change. I will discuss the changes in my next update.

If you have questions on the homework, please take a photo of your work and email it to me. My reply will go to the entire class without using your name.

Please be well and stay calm.

Best,
Paul Sjoberg
