Accounting 101A - Online - Summer 2008CRN 30894
Section OL1 - Financial Accounting - Online This is a beginning accounting course which meets all transfer requirements to four-year colleges and universities and provides a foundation for advanced work in vocational accounting or other branches of business administration. Text used is Accounting Concepts & Applications, 10th edition, Albrecht, Stice, Stice, Swain - South-Western Publishing Company 2008. WARNING - Traditionally this is a 4 unit, 85 hours lecture per semester. On-line, it will require a minimum of 24–36 hours per week in the summer 7 week session. If you have a choice, you should take this class live. This is a tough, time consuming, class under the best of situations. You need to be self-disciplined to keep up with the course, computer knowledgeable and flexible enough to deal with all of the various electronic media and willing to meet with the instructor during limited office hours during the summer as needed.
