CRN 23183 Section OL1 - Financial Accounting - Online Spring 2013
This is a beginning accounting course which meets all transfer requirements to four-year colleges and universities and provides a foundation for advanced work in vocational accounting or other branches of business administration.The text is Accounting Tools for Business Decision Making, 4th edition, Kimmel, Weygandt, Kieso - John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 2011(special Fullerton College edition) with accompanying WileyPlus access. This is all shrunk wrapped together in the bookstore under SKU: 9781118458570 above for $121.00. You also need a calculator, pencil, and one Scantron Form 882-E for the final exam.
But wait. The publisher has provided two weeks of free access through Sunday, February 17, 2013. The good news is you have time to decide if you want to continue the course and whether the etext works for you. If the etext works for you, you can buy it with a credit card on Feb. 18th for about $90 on our Bb/Wiley+ site.
If you need a hard copy of the text then use the bookstore as your option for $121 and you will still have the etext available on Bb/Wiley+. So for those of you who have not already bought the FC bookstore version, relax you don't have to make any textbooks decisions right away.

WARNING - Traditionally this is a 4 unit, 5.5 hours lecture per week for the 16 week course.
On-line it will require a minimum of 12 –15 hours per week. If you have a choice, you should take this class live. This is a tough, time consuming, class under the best of situations. You need to be self-disciplined to keep up with the course, computer knowledgeable and flexible enough to deal with all of the various electronic media and willing to meet with the instructor during office hours as needed.

Prerequisite: Financial Accounting 101AF with a grade of "C" or better

This is a tough, time consuming, class under the best of situations. You need to be self-disciplined to keep up with the course, computer knowledgeable and flexible enough to deal with all of the various electronic media and willing to post questions in the discussion section to get answers to your questions.
