Math 100 Hybrid Friday 10:35 AM Spring 2020

A substantial portion of this course will be delivered online through Canvas using ALEKS.

       Note change from printed schedule which said MyMathLab. ALEKS is a sophisticated program that creates a personal individualized learning pathway for each student.


The remainder of the class will be delivered on campus each Friday Jan. 31 - May 22 (no class Feb. 14 or April 10) from 10:35 AM to 12:00 PM in Room 719.  Participation both online and on-campus is required. Students that do not attend the first class meeting on Friday Jan. 31 will be dropped from the class.


This class is designed for you to learn the majority of the material online by working through modules of videos and printed materials. To be successful, you need to spend about 6-7 hours per week working online, and be comfortable learning independently.


Materials needed:

              1.  ALEKS access $60 purchased online, payment due at the end of two weeks

            of two weeks.  You do NOT need a printed textbook - ALEKS includes an ebook.

             2. Computer access - available in the Math Lab if needed 

              3.  Scientific calculator – graphing calculators OK, but cell phones are NOT permitted

              4.  Scanner or scanner app to scan and upload written assignments.

                      You may use a free cell phone app such as CamScanner.
